Never disappointed with this place. Loved it when it was in Bonnie Doon. Love it more now. I miss the chilli oil since they no longer carry it. The staff is sweet and attentive. Service is quick and delicious. The restaurant is clean. Only good things to say about this place. Everything I have tried I enjoy. Love the Tom yum soup. And all vermicelli dishes.
Was there today and wasn't busy but was just glad I got to sit to eat.
Great service and the food is amazing!!! Highly recommend!!
Holy cow !!! This was some of the best food I've had in a long time !! Thank you so much !! # 43... delicious Spring rolls deserve a hug !The mago salad will be had to beat!Lemon grass chicken was a flavorful dish !
Best ginger beef I have had in Edmonton, maybe even beyond Pad thai was delicious and the coconut rice is yummy. Highly recommend!
Our favorite comfort food and favorite place to get Vietnamese. We come here at least once a month. The best part is their food is consistently good and service is great. You cannot go wrong with most dishes but my favorite dishes are tom yum soup, theirs phos, the sate soup, coconut curry chicken and for appetizers the green onion cakes and the salad roles.
My wife and go here almost on the weekly. It’s a great environment and we love the pho! That’s all we get and this is our favourite place. Be sure to get the green onion cake!
The food is fresh and delicious. We normally order food online and the food is always at good quality and quantity. The price is very good and reasonable. They make our food orders exactly like the instructions. Good restaurant.
Really good food and service is fast. Definitely worth a visit.
Great Pho! I ordered from Skip the Dishes and it was still hot and delicious at delivery.
Large servings. OK for Vietnam dishes.
Good food! Id say best vermicelli bowl in Edmonton..as my Bf and I have tried diff places. Friendly staff, good service and decent place! We always get the 6 colour vermicelli bowl for $15.95! 👍 its worth it! They have everything in the bowl..compared to some places weve been to, they cheap out on the ingredients!
A family favourite since before the move to the Calgary Trail location, Brooklyn Tomato is our go-to for all of our favourite dishes and a place where we feel welcome and well-taken care of. The variety of vegetarian options as well as the classic Vietnamese and Chinese dishes means that everyone at the table is happy, full, and satisfied.
Great pho broth with tomatoes to smooth it out. Not too salty like most other pho places. Lunch specials are awesome! A hidden gem!
I visited here recently and had a decent experience. The restaurant has nice decor and the service was barely average. In terms of food, I got their Pho special. The presentation of the Pho was really nice. The quality and quantity of food (i.e. meat, noodles, soup) was decent.
I normally don’t write reviews, but we had such a terrible experience and we are very disappointed. How can I post photos?
Found this place only because our usual place was closed for the day. We were pleasantly surprised to find another great Vietnamese restaurant in Edmonton. My husband ordered pho and I, a wonton soup. Pho was good but we've had better before. The portion was quite generous and it wasn't too oily or salty, it would've been better if they had parts other than meat like tendons and tripes. Wonton soup was fantastic. I've ordered wonton soup from many different Vietnamese restaurants but Brooklyn tomato definitely triumphs over all. It was better than any other places in qualit, portion, and variety of vegetables and meats in the soup. The egg noodles were a little too thin for my tasting but everything else was more than impressive. I'd definitely go back to try other dishes.
Food was really fresh and delicious! Waitress was kind, friendly helped me understand what the different dishes were. I highly recommend the mango salad, sooooo good! Also had the ginger beef with coconut rice, first time ever trying coconut rice, was very good! Also this meal only cost $30! You get a big amount of food and don't have to spend a fortune, my kind of place 👍😀
Ordered from Skip the dishes and order was quick and easy. However the food was really bad, the pho had barely any beef slices, and the broth was lacking in flavor. Ive had much better from other restraunts. Very disappointing...
We have been looking for a decent Vietnamese cuisine for a long time, finally found it!! Great service and food. The chicken and beef is real and awesome NOT RUBERY, if you know what I mean.
Actually my point is ZERO. When I was eating a noodle soup, I found a hair in it. I talked to a server about it, then she said it is mine which fell into the bowl. However my hair is long and yellow, but it was black and short. I didn't want to pay for it, but she said I have to pay for it with 10% discount. It was a terrible experience.
My favorite pho place!! The beef broth is so tasty! The service is always awesome! Thank you!
Best Pho I've ever had. Hidden away shop, fairly unremarkable interior. Food makes up for it, though. I had the Peanut Satay Pho.
Fantastic food at a nice price. Service was great
Service was great even tho we came 30 min before closing. And the food was really good! Very friendly staff.
Ordered today for the first time here. It was great! Will definitely be back in the future.
Service was a little slow to start off with but the food was super delish!
Love the coconut soup! This is one of those places I go to when I need a ‘pick me up’ Everything I’ve eaten here has been delicious!
I'm fairly hard to impress regarding restaurants and the total experience. I really enjoy Vietnamese food but a lack of cleanliness is often a problem in a lot of Asian restaurants. This was definitely not a problem here ! Very good food, service was good and even the washrooms were very clean and exceptionally well kept. I will definitely return .. 😊
Great dining experience and good food. Love the mango salad. It is one of my favorite starters.
Whether I am ordering from Skip or eating inside the restaurant it's always great tasting fresh food . I certainly try to eat in the restaurant if I am around the area to ensure they get every dollar. The service is great with friendly faces . The restaurant always has one TV on news and another with sports so it's nice to catch the game so I'm not rushed away to get home to watch.
My meals are consistently good. Very large portions. This was the first place that I had Vietnamese cold coffee. Fantastic.
Overall extremely disappointed. Poor taste, service and packaging. The majority of my dishes had spilled out of it's containers and what was salvaged was disgusting. The sizzling shrimp tasted like dish water.
I order here often via Skip The Dishes. I get my order not long after placing it, and the taste and presentation are consistent (only one time were the salad rolls falling apart). I get great value for the price. One of my favourites for ordering lunch.
Best Pho and Peanut Saté in the city! I've been eating at BTs for years and, while I've tried many other Vietnamese restaurants in the city, Brooklyn Tomato is truly THE best. (Plus, they don't judge me when I ask for Nuoc Beo)
2.5 stars. The spring rolls were better than expected. Not only did they have shredded pork and carrot, but also taro, which made all the difference. If you're searching for an authentic Pho Dac Biet (deluxe Pho), this is probably not the place. There was no tripe or tendon, and no cilantro. The noodles were on the softer side, though a good amount was given, and the soup base was lacking in flavor (star anise, cinnamon, beef taste etc). But, there was a good amount of flank and steak. So if you're looking to get full, but don't care too much about the details, this isn't a bad place to hang out and eat.
My boyfriend and I go here quite often or order skip the dishes from here. The portions are always very big and the food is very fresh. They are very cautious when it comes to allergies and are usually pretty friendly.
Average. Pho wasnt very flavourful. Vegetarian/tofu dish had fish sauce (not noted in the menu). Someone came in after us and requested to sit in the table directly behind us and was permitted to by the waiter. All in all, probably won't return.
Love this place. Glad they weren't completely gone after the LRT expansion stuff happened in Bonnie Doon area. Tons of parking at their new location. They are super accommodating (I'm allergic to prawns) so they always substitute for me. The service is always great and the portions are unreal/huge! Even though 4/5 times I order the same thing they never pressure me to order it. It's nice when they are always asking, "what are you feeling like today?" instead of assuming I want the same thing! :D
Definitely try the Vietnamese chicken wings
Gotta try the 20A One Of The best Pho Bowls In Town. Green onion cakes are amazing.
There's a reason it's high in skip the dish. It's good even after being hauled in a heat bag.
Just came from the Southside location.... again just as their out-of-town location was... fresh good wholesome food and copious amounts of it.... enjoyed it thoroughly can hardly wait to go back again.
I used to LOVE this place, but today i was not impressed. The portions were reduced in half and they were very stingy on the meat portion. It was all onions.
The food here is always top notch. Great, flavorful portion sizes and so much variety. Friendly people up front. My one point of improvement would be that, when ordering take out on skip the dishes or in person, they often forget small things like fish sauce or peanut sauce, even if you've paid extra for it. If they can figure that out, this place would be absolute perfection.
We really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere was great. Friendly young guys keeping the patrons fed👍. Ask them where the name came from
Delicious food and super reasonably priced. Can eat in or take out. Tasty milkshakes and Vietnamese coffee. Large menu offers a variety of selections. Everything was made fresh to order.
I feel like I have found my new go to viet restaurant! Awesome bbq meats for my vermicelli noodle!
I’m assuming the Kitchen had a bad night. I ordered take out (via skip the dish) because all the reviews are great on Brooklyn tomato. But nonetheless I had a horrible meal. I ordered the Lemon Grass Chicken. It looked gray... the chicken was not good at all. The noodles where over cooked and mushy. Based on my experience I would recommend it to anyone.
Best Pad Thai and Pho I’ve had so far. Excellent food, wonderful service, and decent prices. It’s my go restaurant that makes me nervous about trying the same dishes at other places because other places just don’t compare!
